DIY Patio Sofa

If you’re thinking building an outdoor sofa is a lot of work, well you’re right! But it’s SO WORTH IT! My husband and I spent the Fourth of July last year purchasing wood and building this beauty! In one day we had a sofa and coffee table built! I spent the next day sanding and staining it the color we wanted. It took about a week for our cushions to come in but when it was all together we were so proud and happy with the outcome!

DIY Furniture… dog not included 😉

CUSHIONS

Click the picture above for the cushions we purchased! They were a great fit from Home Depot! There are so many great cushion options out there but you will want to purchase deep seated cushions 24×24. These were a reasonable price for a bottom cushion and back rest pillow. Honestly, this was the most expensive part of the project. We still paid a lot less than we would have purchasing anywhere that sold outdoor/patio furniture. Another bonus, we don’t ever worry about the furniture in bad weather conditions. The sofa is so heavy it doesn’t blow around in summer thunderstorms, the wood was treated and then sealed with a waterproof stain and the cushions are waterproof! Win win!

GOOD LUCK!✌🏼

Beach House Guest Bedroom

This was such a fun and quick design! My client asked for a beach house guest bedroom that wasn’t “too beachy”. We decided on a budget and I went to work! Below are links for each item.

A perfect find! I was able to incorporate the blue tones of the beach with this statement bed frame. The great news is that it currently on sale for $194.24 for a full size frame. The queen size is $205.74 at 13% off.

Coastal inspired wall decor is a must! I fell in love with this flock of gold birds. Target find for $176.99 this is on the high end of our budget but with our other budget friendly finds we were able to make this wall decor work!

A cozy accent table for guests. This Wayfair find is very affordable at just $70.99! We loved the idea of spoiling guests with fresh flowers and hot morning coffee.

It seems like a good jute rug is great for just about any space! This was a great Amazon find, $188.56 for an 8X10 rug! It’s currently 30% off so act fast!

How about this amazing lamp I found for $40.00 at Target! I love how it ties into the wall decor and accents the room.

The coastal design my client and I created was just what we were hoping for! Not too “beachy” and trendy! The best part was we were able to stay within budget and design a space she loved! If you would like help designing a space reach out! I am happy to offer tips and tricks and budget finds!
