If you’re thinking building an outdoor sofa is a lot of work, well you’re right! But it’s SO WORTH IT! My husband and I spent the Fourth of July last year purchasing wood and building this beauty! In one day we had a sofa and coffee table built! I spent the next day sanding and staining it the color we wanted. It took about a week for our cushions to come in but when it was all together we were so proud and happy with the outcome!
If you are interested in building this sofa or something similar check out these plans I found on Pinterest by Ana White! CUSHIONS
Click the picture above for the cushions we purchased! They were a great fit from Home Depot! There are so many great cushion options out there but you will want to purchase deep seated cushions 24×24. These were a reasonable price for a bottom cushion and back rest pillow. Honestly, this was the most expensive part of the project. We still paid a lot less than we would have purchasing anywhere that sold outdoor/patio furniture. Another bonus, we don’t ever worry about the furniture in bad weather conditions. The sofa is so heavy it doesn’t blow around in summer thunderstorms, the wood was treated and then sealed with a waterproof stain and the cushions are waterproof! Win win!
GOOD LUCK!✌🏼
